What’s the Good Shepherd story, found only in John, saying to us?
As a community we are deeply indebted to the team that put together our weekly reflections. This week is no exception with the reflection written by Joe (Journeyman) Weber. It seeps out of the screen that a lot of time and thought has been put into this reflection on the meaning we can derive from the Story of the Good Shepherd which is found only in the Gospel of John. This is another reflection worth spending time with. Joe writes: "Shepherding is not about encouraging individuals out from under their protective rocks where they may be hiding while waiting ‘to be saved’. I think that we need to realize the Hebrew metaphoric meaning of salvation, needs to be understood as healing, wholeness and well-being. It is about becoming fully alive as a person as the Divine Presence in life anticipates and desires for each and every moment of creation."
