Today was the first monthly business Meeting and BBQ of the Eastern Region Woodturning Guild there were 19 of us present and during show and tell amazing things were displayed.
More excitedly, with Jessica’s miraculous recovery of her sight she was accepted unanimously to the Guild and did her first stint at the lathe today, turning a spinning top and paper weight.
We need to refine things for her because being in a wheelchair the lathes are too high and the tools are out of reach but since she hasn’t turned anything in about 40 years she did magnificently.

Thank you – yes, it is quite amazing although yesterday was frustrating as nothing seemed to go right even the Master Turner made a hash.
